Festival Rules & Regulations

    GATE ENTRY AND OPENING HOURS
    • All festival-goers must have a valid wristband for ENTRY to Kipawa Countryfest.
    • The entry gate to the festival grounds will be open to the public during the following times.
      •  Friday at 5:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
      •  Saturday at 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
      •  Sunday at 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    • There is no early entry to the festival grounds or reserved seating.
    • Please be patient and be prepared to stand in line while going through security.
    • Be prepared for a bag search.
    • All children must be accompanied by an adult.
    • All Children aged 17 and under must be off the festival grounds by 12:00 AM (Midnight).


    DINNER BREAK

    On Saturday at the festival we will break for dinner.  The festival grounds will remain open, however, there is no music during this time as we prepare for the evening shows.  Anyone causing a disturbance with setup will be asked to leave the grounds.


    WRISTBANDS
    • Weekend passes for adults are sold in advance for a special price until August 1st. After August 1st weekend and daily passes are on sale at the entry gate for the regular price. (Please see ticket page for pricing).
    • All sales are FINAL – no refunds and no exchanges.
    • Wristbands MUST be worn securely on the wrist and cannot be slipped on and off.
    • Do NOT remove your wristband between days.
    • Do NOT tamper, stretch, cut or alter your wristband in any way. Wristbands that have been tampered with will not be allowed entry.
    • NO sharing wristbands. You must purchase one wristband per person.
    • Lost or stolen wristbands will not be replaced. You are responsible for your wristband after it is purchased.
    • All wristband holders must pass through security at the entry gate and are subject to bag inspection. Prohibited items will be confiscated by the security team.
    • You must be 18 years of age or older to wear an adult wristband. VALID PROOF OF PHOTO ID will be required. Anyone under the age of 30 years may be asked to produce ID to validate age and to gain entry to the festival grounds. (Picture ID on phone is NOT accepted).
    • Kipawa Countryfest reserves the right to refuse entry to any underage person (or persons unable to provide valid proof of age ID).
    • A person underage wearing an adult wristband will not be allowed entry to the festival grounds and the wristband will be cut with no refund or exchange! NO exceptions!
    • Spot checks for wristbands will be made throughout the weekend.


    SECURITY
    • Entry into the festival grounds is controlled by security and all festival-goers must pass through security at the entry gate.
    • Security will check for wristbands at the entry gate and will do spot checks throughout the festival weekend on festival grounds.
    • All festival-goers are subject to bag inspection. Prohibited items will be confiscated by the security team. We respect you, so please respect us by not bringing prohibited stuff to the festival or being upset if something is confiscated.
    • Security is available on the festival grounds to direct and help maintain crowd control.
    • Any person involved in illegal or criminal activity on site will be handed over to the Kebaowek Police Department.


    GENERAL GROUND RULES FOR KIPAWA COUNTRYFEST
    • Smile, be kind, and please be respectful, everyone is here to enjoy and have fun!
    • Youth and children must be accompanied by an adult and must leave the festival grounds by midnight.
    • Street parking only. Do not block driveways or park in any unauthorized areas. If your vehicle is found in an unauthorized area it could be towed at your expense.
    • NO Pets inside the festival grounds (the only exception is service animals with the proper ID).
    • Absolutely NO coolers allowed. NO outside alcohol, food or other beverages allowed on the festival grounds.
    • There will be a bar on site. Absolutely zero tolerance for impaired driving.
    • Underage drinking is strictly prohibited.
    • You are NOT allowed to leave the festival grounds with an alcohol beverage.
    • NO illegal drugs, weapons, or fireworks allowed.
    • NO unauthorized vending permitted.
    • NO bicycles, scooters, or skateboards etc, allowed inside the festival grounds.
    • Respect the environment. Please use garbage and recycling containers.


    RV / TRAILER PARKING
    • Kipawa Countryfest has no official campground, we provide different areas within the community for campers to park.
    • At this time camping is free providing all your camping party has a weekend festival wristband.
    • All camping is ROUGH CAMPING ONLY, there are no services available.
    • You must be registered for a parking spot to camp. Please call 819-627-3455 (during regular business hours) to reserve a camping spot.
    • Every effort will be made to ensure that campers are able to park within walking distance of the festival grounds.
    • We reserve the right to relocate campers if necessary.
    • Please do your part to keep your campsite clean, no littering!
    • Generators are allowed at your campsite, but you may be asked to turn them off if it’s too loud or excessive. Please do not run your generators overnight unless necessary.
    • Pets are allowed at your campsite only. Pets must be tied up or on a leash at all times and please make sure to clean up after your pets. (Reminder that pets are not allowed on the festival grounds – service animal allowed with proper identification papers).
    • NO open fires (BBQs are allowed).
    • NO fireworks allowed.
    • Music at your campsite must remain at a respectful level.
    • Be respectful to your camping neighbors and the surrounding area.
    • Kipawa Countryfest is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged articles during the festival weekend.


    SMOKING
    • NO SMOKING OR VAPING under the covered areas on the festival grounds. If you are a smoker, we ask that move away from the covered areas.
    • Use the sand pails to distinguish your cigarettes.
    • Be considerate of the people around you when smoking.


    ON-SITE SERVICES
    • FIRST AID: For urgent medical care call 911

    • -For basic medical needs check with security.
    • Interac machine (located near entry gate at the countryfest office)
    • Lost and found is located at the security booth at the entry gate.
    • Bar Service (ticket booth is located under the big tent)

    • -Ticket sellers and bar tenders have the right to ask for ID to anyone who appear to be under age even if you’re wearing an adult wristband.
    • Food Vendors and Countryfest canteen
    • Craft Vendors
    • Portable Toilets & Hand Washing Station


    GROUNDS FOR EVICTION
    • We want everyone at Kipawa Countryfest to have a good time. To achieve this, we need each person to be respectful of everyone around them.
    • ABSOLUTELY NO fighting, threatening or disrespectful behavior or inciting of hatred. Any person(s) found committing any of those behaviors to other festival attendees or festival staff will be evicted from the event without refund.
    • Any person found to be in possession of a weapon will be immediately evicted from the event without refund, and subject to a criminal investigation.
    • NO public indecency or defecation anywhere on the festival grounds.
    • Invalid or Absent Wristband
    • Rule Violations

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    • Kipawa Countryfest is a RAIN or SHINE festival.
    • All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
    • Performers and lineup are subject to change without notice.
    • Bring your own lawn chairs (chairs in bags will be checked by security).
    • Please be respectful to the people behind you in the viewing area of the stage.
    • Kebaowek First Nation, and Kipawa Countryfest are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged material. It is recommended that you do not bring valuable items.
    • Any person on site is subject to being photographed and/or filmed for Countryfest promotional purposes with no compensation.
    • Kipawa Countryfest has the right to make changes by adding or removing rules as seen fit to the festival.
    • NO LITTERING. Please respect the land and dispose of your garbage properly at the waste and recycling stations. This includes cigarette butts which are a fire hazard. This also includes the roadways around the festival.
    • PLEASE RESPECT our neighbours and drive carefully.
    • All rules, policies, and instructions from festival staff must be followed at all times, or may lead to eviction from the event with no refund.
